Derek Munneke has a long history of work experience in the technology industry. Derek began their career in 2000 as the Local Coordinator for the Adelaide AJUG (Australian Java User Group), where they acted as a Java evangelist. In 2006, they took on the role of Solution Architect at m.Net Corporation and Eccosphere. Derek then became the Development Manager and Solution Architect at LISAsoft in the same year. In 2008, they were appointed Chief Technology Officer at 2moro mobile. From 2009 to 2017, they held the role of Board Member at OpenSA Inc. and Head of Cloud and Infrastructure at Meeco. In 2012, they became the Chief Technology Officer at NextFaze. Finally, in 2017, they were appointed Head Of Technology at Two Hands.
Derek Munneke completed their B.Sc. in Physics with Computer Science from UNSW from 1992 to 1995. Derek then completed a B. Sc. (Honours) in Physics from UNSW in 1997. Finally, they completed an M.Sc. (Course Work) in Computer and Information Science from the University of South Australia from 1998 to 2000.
