Matthias Priem

Matthias Priem is an experienced professional in the fields of archiving and information technology. Currently serving as Manager and Project Manager for Archiving at meemoo, the Flemish Institute for Archives, since April 2013, Matthias has been instrumental in the design, procurement, and implementation of the digital archive at VIAA. Prior to this role, Matthias held the position of ICT Director at iMinds from January 2005 to March 2013, overseeing the ICT team to ensure a state-of-the-art IT backend for research activities. Additionally, Matthias contributed as a reviewer for CuttingEdge, an online music magazine, and worked as an Assistant at Ghent University, managing lab exercises, network administration, and technical support for research projects. Matthias holds degrees in Electronics Engineering and Construction Engineering from Katholieke Hogeschool 'Sint-Lieven' in Ghent.
