Nico Verplancke is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the fields of archives, gaming, and technology. Currently serving as General Manager at meemoo, the Flemish Institute for Archives since January 2016, and as President of the Board of Directors at Kunst in Huis since January 2020, Nico has a strong leadership background. Involvement with publiq vzw and past governance roles in the Flemish Gaming Association (FLEGA) highlight contributions to the gaming sector in Flanders. Prior to these positions, Nico held several leadership roles at iMinds, focusing on research project coordination and strategic development. Early career experiences include management roles in software startups and consultancy, supported by a Master’s degree in Economics from KU Leuven.
