Alice Lucas has extensive work experience in various roles related to computer vision, software engineering, and machine learning. Alice currently works at Meero as a Computer Vision Engineer since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard as a Software Engineer from August 2020 to May 2022.
Before joining the Broad Institute, Alice was a Graduate Student at Northwestern University from September 2015 to August 2020.
Alice also has intern experience, including a role as a Machine Learning Intern at Two Six Labs from May 2018 to August 2018, where they worked on pre-processing large code segments and implemented a tree-based encoder-decoder RNN.
Additionally, Alice worked as a Computer Vision Intern at Cadre Research Labs/Cadre Forensics in June 2016 where they implemented computer vision methods and trained a Deep Convolutional Neural Network.
Furthermore, they have experience in independent research and was a Student Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from June 2013 to January 2015, where they built a GUI in Java and implemented MATLAB code for mathematical analysis on signals from electric energy systems.
Alice Lucas attended Northwestern University from 2015 to 2020, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a concentration in Signal Processing. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2015, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Applied Math, Engineering, and Physics (AMEP) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During their time at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, they also pursued a minor in Computer Sciences. Alice's education journey began at Ecole Alsacienne from 2004 to 2011, where they completed their Baccauleat General Scientifique.
