Samantha Pennington

Samantha Pennington has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Samantha is currently working as the Head of Community and Growth at Meet Cute, starting in July 2022. Prior to that, they were an ODCB3 Fellow at On Deck from February 2022 to August 2022.

From September 2021 to July 2022, Samantha served as the Head of Community at Streamloots. In this role, they developed and executed community strategies, built programs for streamers' success and engagement, and advocated for streamer feedback to drive product improvements.

Before joining Streamloots, Samantha worked at Wattpad for a significant period from 2013 to 2021. Their roles at Wattpad included Director of Creator Development (January 2019 - June 2021), Interim Director of Content and Creator Development (June 2018 - December 2018), Creator Programs Manager (June 2017 - June 2018), and Community Engagement Specialist (May 2013 - November 2016). During their time at Wattpad, Samantha led initiatives to support and empower creators, managed programs for writer success, and engaged with the platform's community.

Samantha also has experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Western University from September 2013 to April 2014, and as a Pharmacy Technician at Shoppers Drug Mart from September 2005 to April 2013.

Samantha Pennington began their education at Western University in 2010, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Honors Specialization in English Language and Literature. Samantha successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2013. Samantha then continued their education at Western University from 2013 to 2014 and obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in English Language and Literature, General.
