Akshay Venkitasubramanian

Akshay Venkitasubramanian is the CEO of Nirvana Health, a company that makes mental health affordable and accessible by bringing the power of fintech to administration of health insurance. Prior to their current role, Akshay was a Senior Account Manager at Mount Sinai Health System, where they worked with leadership across clinical, hospital, finance, legal and care management to design specialty care products. In their three years at Mount Sinai, Akshay was instrumental in increasing the company's market share from 10-15% to over 40-50%.

Before joining Mount Sinai, Akshay worked as a Consultant at Deloitte for two years and as a Clinical Research Assistant at UNC School of Medicine for two months. Akshay also spent a year and five months as a Research Associate at North Carolina State University and one month as a Research Intern at the Center for Public Policy Research. Akshay's first job out of college was as a Business Analyst at Mindtree Consulting, where they worked for four months.

Akshay holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Akshay is currently based in New York City.
