Emad Malek

Mr. Malek is a career Information Technology executive with numerous technical and business achievements. He started out building cutting edge systems for Nortel, Motorola and Lucent in Chicago. Mr. Malek moved to international business by taking on the role of CIO helping build the largest telecom provider in Africa, subsequently he joined Wataniya, an international telecom group in Dubai as CIO from 2004-2007 partnering with top technology providers to build the business which was ultimately concluded with a sale as largest acquisition of its time. He joined Dublin based Qtelmedia as COO where he helped streamline the operation, acquire content partners and set it on path to sustainability.

Mr. Malek moved on to become CTO of multinational telecom group based in British Virgin Islands and helped balance the business by maximizing the revenue from IT assets and delivering innovative products. Mr. Malek assumed the role of SVP Software Development for a prolific communication service provider in Saudi where he was catalyst in accelerating value creation to the business stabilizing a complex IT environment. He subsequently joined the fledgling competition where he was catalyst in its rapid rise assuming the leadership roles in IT and Digital Business.

Mr. Malek is an alumnus of Harvard Business School, a graduate of Electrical Engineering and a Masters of Computer Science from Dalhousie University in Canada. Business proficient in English, French and Arabic, he is a CISA, CISSP, PMP, OCP, Certified Java Programmer and an Agile Scrum Master. Currently an adjunct faculty of Software Engineering at DePaul University in Chicago.
