Weichen Zhang

Weichen Zhang, PhD, graduated from the University of Sydney with a Doctor of Philosophy in Information Technology. Currently, they serve as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Australian Centre for Robotics, focusing on 3D point cloud reconstruction and segmentation. Previously, Weichen held the position of Research Engineer and Team Lead at Bodymapp, where they developed a cutting-edge 3D body scanning application and optimized machine learning pipelines. They have contributed to multiple academic publications and hold a US patent. Their research interests encompass computer vision, deep learning, and machine learning.
