Sr. Project Manager at Mekonos

Marcela Galvis has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Marcela started their career at The Coca-Cola Company Headquarters as an Intern Concentrate Manufacturing, where they designed and implemented an Excel-based Capacity Model for Coca-Cola Concentrate Manufacturing. Marcela then worked at Velant as a Business Consultant, where they collaborated with customer organizations to ensure a smooth implementation of transportation services and delivered compelling business cases to bring in potential revenue for the company.

Marcela later joined Danone Waters as an Operations/Logistics Analyst, where they redesigned customer distribution networks and collaborated with software vendors for routing software and network modeling tool. Marcela then worked at Competitive Logistics as a Consultant-Contractor, before joining ToolsGroup as a Business Consultant. At ToolsGroup, Marcela analyzed inventory management processes for customers and served as a business process liaison for ERP integration projects with Cadbury Schweppes, Energizer, and Case New Holland.

Marcela then transitioned to Boston Scientific, where they held multiple roles including Senior Analyst-International Operations, Manager-International Operations, and Project Manager Business Integration. In these roles, they designed and launched consignment inventory excellence program, managed product deployment for clinical trials, and developed financial models for cost improvement programs.

After their tenure at Boston Scientific, Marcela joined Seagen as a Senior Project Manager, where they provided project management support for three programs at various development stages and obtained two INDs approval.

Currently, Marcela is working at Mekonos Inc. as a Sr. Project Manager.

Marcela Galvis holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Marcela also received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Interior Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design. Prior to that, Marcela earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de Los Andes. Marcela completed their high school education at Saint George's School.

In addition to their formal education, Marcela has obtained several certifications. In 2018, they obtained the PMP (Project Management Professional) certification from the Project Management Institute. Marcela also holds a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification from APICS, which they obtained in 2011. Marcela further expanded their knowledge and skills by completing the "Drug Development - Clinical Trials" course through Coursera Course Certificates in 2017. Most recently, in 2023, they completed the "Managing Complex Projects and Organization" program offered by MIT xPRO.
