Laura Velasco

Laura Velasco is an experienced sales professional in the hospitality industry, currently serving as Sales Manager for the Travel Industry in Spain Centre at Meliá Hotels International since November 2012. Velasco has held various roles within the Meliá Barcelona cluster, including MICE Sales Analyst and Sales Executive, where responsibilities involved pricing strategy analysis to maximize revenue and managing leads across multiple hotel properties. Prior to Meliá, Velasco worked at NH Hotel Group as a Sales Executive and held various positions in customer service and reservations at Travel Republic, Travco, and Transhotel. Velasco began a career in event organization with Global Events and Ayre Hoteles. Academic qualifications include a degree in Tourism from Universidad Europea Miguel de Cervantes and two master's degrees in Marketing and Event Management from Universidad de Cantabria and University of Deusto.
