Jim Shoemaker has a diverse work experience spanning almost two decades. Jim is currently working as a Senior Solutions Architect at Melillo Consulting since October 2022. Previously, they held the position of Principal Consultant at TekStone Solutions from March 2019 to November 2022, where they served as a Senior Network Architect for a new Managed Services platform, handled network architecture and pre-sales for client engagements, and managed datacenter locations and corporate office environments.
Before that, Jim worked as a Senior Network Architect at Progilisys Solutions from June 2016 to October 2022. In this role, they led a team of client network resources, managed datacenter locations, corporate offices, and over 350 locations connected using various technologies.
Jim also worked as a Senior Network Architect at TBConsulting from April 2016 to June 2019, where they led a team of Network Engineers, managed datacenter locations and corporate office environments, and oversaw network-related infrastructure systems.
Prior to these roles, Jim held positions at LifeLock as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer from May 2012 to September 2015, at PetSmart as a Network/Telecom Engineer from September 2009 to May 2012, at AT&T as a Network Engineer from January 2007 to March 2009, and at Insight Networking as a Senior Operations Engineer from December 2005 to January 2007.
Finally, Jim started their career at Cable ONE as a Cable Technical Support Agent II and at Volt Technical Resources as a DSL Technical Support Agent I in 2005 and 2004 respectively.
Jim Shoemaker attended Mesa Community College from 2002 to 2007, where they studied Cisco/Microsoft Networking Technology. In 2009, they obtained the Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing and Switching (CCNP-RS) certification from Cisco. Recently, in April 2021, they also obtained the Cisco Certified Network Professional Data Center certification.
