Karen Dicks

Karen Dicks has extensive experience in various roles within the technology industry. Karen is currently the Vice President of Data Analytics, Mobility, Testing, and Application Security at Melillo Consulting, Inc. In this role, they manage analytics, testing, mobile, and application security practices and programs for a range of large customers across different industries. Karen is also responsible for developing strategies and growing the consulting practice for Big Data.

Prior to their current position, Karen was the CTO/VP of Professional Services at SQS, which was later acquired by Melillo. During their time at SQS, they established the service-delivery infrastructure, developed consulting opportunities, and played a significant role in increasing revenue.

Before joining SQS, Karen worked as the CTO at RealTime Media, where they provided technical marketing strategy and board-level leadership for an advertising agency. Karen developed customer acquisition and selling strategies, as well as marketing and online advertising programs.

Earlier in their career, Karen founded and managed their own consulting company, Advocate Consulting Services. Karen provided systems architecture and solution design services for multi-year projects, including implementing enterprise architecture for PeopleSoft and PeopleSoft Time and Labor, designing a large customer data warehouse, and overseeing technical aspects of mergers and acquisitions.

Karen also gained valuable experience at Comcast as the Director of Operations/CIO, where they managed a large IT organization and implemented important IT projects, including a desktop/network migration project and the implementation of a PMO.

Before Comcast, Karen worked as the MIS Director at BCM Engineers, where they managed a large IT department and implemented Windows-based computing with early edition MS Office. Karen also established WAN connections.

Karen began their career as the MIS Director at Chase Econometrics, where they were responsible for all aspects of IT. During their time there, they developed electronic publishing and printing systems and created, tested, and documented large econometric models for economic sectors.
