Joel Rennó, Jr.

Joel Rennó, Jr. has a diverse and extensive work experience in various positions and industries. Joel is currently a Member at YPO, starting in May 2022. Prior to that, they served as the CEO of MEMED, the largest and fastest-growing software for digital medical prescriptions in Brazil. During their tenure at MEMED, they oversaw its successful adoption by over 120K doctors and more than 200 strategic partners across Brazil.

Joel also held the role of Board Member at Nimbi S/A since April 2021. Joel has been a Mentor at boostLAB Powered by BTG Pactual since January 2019. Additionally, their professional journey includes working as an Expert in Digital Transformation at Valid from February to April 2021.

Before their time at MEMED, Joel was the CFO and Head of M&A at OLX Brasil from March 2016 to February 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Special Advisor at Crescera Investimentos (formerly known as Bozano Investimentos) from March 2014 to March 2019. Joel also gained experience as the COO and CFO at Hotel Urbano S.A. from April 2014 to January 2016.

Furthermore, their roles include serving as a Board Member at Eneva from June to December 2013. Joel also held multiple positions at EBX, including Managing Director of Corporate Finance from April 2012 to September 2013, Vice President of Corporate Finance from June 2008 to March 2012, and Corporate Finance Analyst since joining the company in 2004.

Joel Rennó, Jr. has an extensive education history in various fields. In 1998, they began their education journey by enrolling at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics. However, their studies at this institution remained incomplete, and they attended the university until 2000.

In the same year, Joel joined Universidade Candido Mendes and successfully obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Law, completing their undergraduate education in 2003.

Building upon their legal education, Joel pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance, General at FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas from 2004 to 2005.

In 2013, they furthered their education by attending NYU Stern School of Business, where they focused on Finance and completed a program in Valuation and Business Analytics.

Continuing their financial studies, Joel Rennó, Jr. attended Harvard Business School Executive Education in the same year, specializing in Private Equity & Venture Capital and expanding their knowledge in Investments and Finance.

Most recently, in 2018, Joel became an alumnus of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where they participated in the SEP (Stanford Executive Program). This program allowed him to delve into the fields of Finance, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship.
