J. Travis Dowell

J. Travis Dowell is president and chief executive officer of Memorial Medical Group, a 150+ physician/APP primary care network located across multiple sites in central Illinois. He has more than thirty years of healthcare experience with Memorial Health, beginning as a cost accountant implementing a decision support/cost accounting system. As his role expanded, he directed a general finance department that included budgeting, cost accounting, investments and accounting for multiple affiliates of the health system before accepting an operational role for Memorial Medical Group.

Dowell holds an undergraduate degree in finance and accounting from Millikin University and a master of business administration degree from the University of Illinois at Springfield. He is a fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, American College of Healthcare Executives and the Medical Group Management Association.
