Karim Abouelenin

Karim Abouelenin, MD, FCCP, currently serves as the National Director of Anesthesia Clinical Informatics at Envision Healthcare since March 2021. Abouelenin has been a Consultant Anesthesiologist and Chief of the Department of Anesthesia at Memorial Hospital Pembroke in Florida since August 2007. Additionally, Abouelenin has held various leadership roles, including Chief of the Department of Anesthesia at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center from November 2013 to May 2016. Abouelenin is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and has academic experience as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Abouelenin's educational background includes an MD from Alexandria University and advanced specialization in anesthesiology and critical care medicine from the University of Miami.
