Simon Ash

Simon Ash is a highly experienced Consultant Anesthesiologist and leader in perioperative medicine, currently serving as both a Consultant Anesthesiologist and Chief of Perioperative Medicine with NL Health Services since May 2023, and as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Memorial University of Newfoundland since July 2023. Previously, Simon held academic and clinical roles at Dalhousie University and IWK Health, with extensive experience in both anesthesiology and critical care, including a significant tenure as an Intensivist at Western Health NL. Educationally, Simon has a strong background in anaesthesia and medicine, with qualifications including a Master of Medicine in Anaesthesia and Fellow of College of Anaesthetists (South Africa). Additionally, Simon has contributed to medical education as a peer reviewer and lecturer, and has been involved in research focused on anaesthetic pharmacology and cancer cell effects.
