Amity Rubeor is a Family and Sports Medicine physician at Memorial Hospital of RI since July 2007, serving as Clinical Team B Leader of the Family Care Center and coordinating the Musculoskeletal Medicine & Sports Medicine curriculum as well as the Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine curriculum. Rubeor previously worked at Lancaster General Health from July 2005 to June 2007 as a Staff and Academic Physician, where involvement included being a Fellow in Academic Medicine and coordinating the musculoskeletal and sports medicine curriculum. Rubeor earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (1997-2002) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from William & Mary (1993-1997).

On December 28, 2017, the Rhode Island Department of Health announced the approval of Care New England’s reverse certificate of need application to move forward with the functional closure of Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department. As of January 1, 2018, Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department will be closed. Care New England remains committed to ensuring access to community-based, outpatient care that meets the future health care needs in the Blackstone Valley.
