Robert Henderson has extensive experience in the field of pastoral care and chaplaincy. ROBERT started their career in 1992 as the Senior Minister at the First Baptist Church of Lincoln, Illinois, and held this role until 2014. During this time, they also worked as a Chaplain at Memorial Health from 2005 to 2011. In 2011, they became a Chaplain at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, where they stayed until 2014. In the same year, they joined Decatur Memorial Hospital as the Director of Pastoral Care and also took on the role of Chaplaincy Director at First Christian Church of Decatur. In 2020, they transitioned to ALS Family of Faith, where they currently work as a Chaplain.
Robert Henderson has a strong educational background. ROBERT received a Certificate in Alcohol and Substance Use Disorders from the University of Illinois Springfield, which they pursued from 2019 to 2022. Prior to this, they completed 4 Units of studies at the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education, earning the title of Board Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains in June 2012. In 2004, Robert Henderson obtained a Doctor of Ministry degree in Contemporary Theology from Northern Seminary. Earlier, they completed their Master of Divinity (MDiv) in Contemporary Theology at Ashland Theological Seminary from 1989 to 1992. Finally, in 1988, Robert Henderson obtained their Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Judson University. Alongside their educational achievements, they also hold the certification of Board Certified Chaplain from the Association of Professional Chaplains, which they obtained in June 2015.
