Sarah Koester

Sarah Koester, PHR, has extensive experience in human resources and safety, currently serving as the Manager of Benefits and Compensation at Decatur Memorial Hospital since February 2011. Prior to this role, Sarah was the President of the Decatur Area SHRM Chapter and worked as a Safety Consultant for AgGrowth, focusing on U.S. divisions and Union Iron Works. Sarah's early career was dedicated to education, with tenure as an elementary school teacher in both the Lutheran School Association and Decatur Public Schools from August 1998 to May 2006. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Millikin University. Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Administration from Illinois State University, Sarah's academic and professional trajectory reflects a commitment to both education and human resources.
