Phillip Wong is an accomplished immunologist with extensive experience in leading immune monitoring and clinical laboratory initiatives. As the Director of the Immune Monitoring Facility at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center since January 2013, Phillip oversees a team focused on clinical sample processing and developing assays to monitor immune responses in cancer patients undergoing immunotherapy. Prior to this role, Phillip served as the Lab Head for Clinical Protein Biomarkers at Hoffmann-La Roche, establishing assays to characterize biomarkers in various diseases and collaborating across multiple therapeutic areas. Phillip also held the position of Principal Research Scientist at Wyeth Research, where immunology assays for vaccine trials were developed and qualified. Earlier in his career, Phillip gained foundational research experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, investigating CD8 T cell responses. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Washington and a B.A. in Biology from Occidental College.
