David M. Finch

David M. Finch is a PhD Graduate Student at Memorial University of Newfoundland since January 2020, with extensive experience as a Heritage Consultant since February 2016, specializing in ethnography, history, traditional knowledge, and archaeology for clients including K'atl'odeeche First Nation and the International Institute for Sustainable Development. Previous roles include Curator of Archaeology at Manitoba Museum, Regulatory Specialist at the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board, and Cultural Places Officer (acting) for the Government of Northwest Territories. David has also contributed as a Senior Associate and Associate at DPRA, an Archaeologist at WSP/GENIVAR, and held academic positions including Sessional Instructor and Graduate Assistant at Lakehead University. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Archaeology from Memorial University, a Professional Specialization Certificate in Collections Management from the University of Victoria, a Master of Environment Studies from Lakehead University, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Anthropology from The University of Winnipeg.
