Hannah M. Hamontree is a PhD Graduate Student at Old Dominion University since August 2020, focusing on publications in her research. Previously, at the University of South Florida from March 2018 to August 2020, Hannah served as a GC/MS/MS Analyst and Organic Laboratory Technician, analyzing biological and sediment samples to study toxicants and contributing to Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative projects. In addition, Hannah held various roles at Eckerd College, including Assistant Residence Coordinator and Residential Advisor, where responsibilities included administrative tasks, student advisory, and community building. As an Inorganic Chemistry Research Assistant, projects focused on the characterization and synthesis of zinc-containing enzyme models, while also working as a Mangrove Field Research Assistant on restoration projects in Indonesia. Other notable experiences include a Design Manager position overseeing photography workshops and a Paleoceanography Research Internship investigating sediment response to oil spills. Hannah holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Spanish from Eckerd College.
