Jennifer Draffen

Jennifer Draffen currently serves as the Director of Collections, Exhibitions, and Publications at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art since May 2020. Prior to this role, Jennifer held the position of Assistant Director at the Art Museum of the University of Memphis from January 2019 to May 2020. Jennifer's extensive experience in the museum sector includes significant positions such as Executive Director for Exhibitions and Registration and Executive Director of Museum Registration at The Art Institute of Chicago, and Director of Collection and Exhibition Services at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. Jennifer began the professional journey as Curator of Collections at the Schenectady Museum and Planetarium and previously directed the Mandeville Gallery at Union College. Jennifer's academic background includes a B.A. in English Literature and East Asian Language and Literature from Indiana University Bloomington, alongside graduate work in Chinese history at The University of Texas at Austin and Mandarin studies in Taipei, Taiwan.
