Ben Greer

Ben Greer has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and research. Ben is currently working as an Artificial Intelligence Software Engineer at Mendaera, Inc. since May 2021. Prior to this, they had a significant tenure at Cruise, where they held multiple roles including Staff Software Engineer from May 2019 to April 2021, Engineering Manager from June 2018 to May 2019, and Senior Software Engineer from November 2017 to June 2018. Before joining Cruise, Ben worked as a Sr Systems Engineer I at Raytheon from February 2016 to October 2017. Ben also gained research experience at the University of Colorado Boulder as a Graduate Research Assistant from June 2011 to December 2015 and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from August 2010 to May 2011. Ben's early professional experience includes working as an Undergraduate Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University from August 2009 to May 2010 and as a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow at NIST in both 2009 and 2008.

Ben Greer completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics from Carnegie Mellon University, where they attended from 2006 to 2010. Ben then pursued higher education at the University of Colorado Boulder, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Astrophysics between 2010 and 2015.
