Lashonda L. Kennedy

LaShonda L. Kennedy has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. LaShonda L. currently holds the position of Director of Student Engagement and Belonging at Menlo College, where they are responsible for overseeing the new student orientation program, advising the student government association, and designing leadership development programs for students. Prior to this, LaShonda worked at the College of San Mateo, where they served as a Work Experience Instructor, a Strong Workforce Program Services Coordinator, and an Acting Director of Career Education. In these roles, they supported student success, coordinated cooperative education programs, and developed connections between colleges, businesses, and regional workforce partners. LaShonda also has experience as a Principal Consultant at Catalyst Collaborative Inc., where they helped organizations improve their capacity and transform their culture. Additionally, they worked as a Program Coordinator at Kirkwood Community College, delivering workplace learning services and collaborating with local K-12 schools. Earlier in their career, they served as a Continuous Improvement Consultant at Denver Public Schools, leading process improvement projects using Lean methodologies. LaShonda's extensive experience also includes their role as a Consultant/Project Manager at Deluxe Financial Services, where they provided operational solutions and managed merger and acquisition projects for financial institutions.

LaShonda L. Kennedy holds a Master of Education (MAEd) degree in Counseling Education from Wake Forest University. LaShonda L. also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communications from the same institution.
