Erik Hu

Erik Hu is a seasoned software engineering manager with extensive experience in various leadership roles across prominent technology companies. Currently, Erik serves as the Manager of Software Engineering at Menlo Security Inc., a position held since September 2022. Prior to this, Erik managed Cloud Platform Engineering at EditShare from March 2020 to May 2022, and held the role of DevOps Lead and Senior Software Developer at IBM from January 2018 to March 2020. Erik's career also includes significant contributions at Cisco as a Scrum Master and Senior Software Engineer (January 2013 - January 2018), and as a Senior Software Engineer at NDS, R&D UK (August 2006 - December 2012). Additionally, Erik began a noteworthy academic career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of York from October 2004 to July 2006. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Real-Time Systems and a Master’s Degree in Computer Software Engineering, both obtained from the University of York.
