Victor van

Victor Van has had diverse work experience in various companies. Victor began their career as a CSR at Bank of Montreal, where they ensured compliance and achieved sales targets. Victor then worked as a Junior IT Administrator Co-op at Samsung Electronics before joining Central1 Credit Union as a Client and Application Support Analyst. In this role, they addressed customer issues and communicated with technical teams for issue resolution. Victor then joined Cloudreach as a Cloud Operations Analyst, providing customer support and administering customer environments. Victor later became a Service Delivery Manager at Cloudreach, ensuring accurate service delivery and suggesting infrastructure improvements. Moving on, Victor worked at Cisco as a Systems Engineer and later as a Lead Cloud Finops Engineer. In these roles, they managed AWS and Datadog estates, implemented cost management policies, and provided optimization discussions. Currently, they are working at Menlo Security Inc. as the Lead Finops Engineer, where they design and implements cost forecasts and vendor contract negotiations.

Victor Van attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2016, where they obtained an Associate's Degree in Computer Information Technology Administration and Management. In 2017, they also obtained the AWS Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services.
