Travis Walter

Travis Walter, LCSW-C has a diverse work experience in the mental health field. Travis has recently been serving as the Administrative Director of Crisis Services at the Mental Health Association of Frederick County, where they oversee crisis specialists and provides training on crisis management. Prior to this role, Travis worked at Frederick Memorial Hospital as a Crisis Clinician, conducting face-to-face crisis assessments and coordinating with external agencies for patient disposition. Travis also has experience at Way Station, Inc. as a Crisis Services Manager, Mobile Crisis Social Worker, Mobile Crisis Specialist, and Residential Crisis Facilitator. Additionally, Travis has previous experience as a Team Lead at Target and served in the US Army as a Sergeant.

Travis Walter, LCSW-C, holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Non-Profit Management from Arkansas State University, obtained between 2019 and 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree with a combined concentration in Clinical and Social Justice from The Catholic University of America, completed from 2013 to 2015. Travis also holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Hood College, which they obtained between 2011 and 2013. In addition to their educational achievements, Travis has obtained several certifications, including Clinical Supervisor (CS) certifications from both the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists and the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners in 2019 and 2020 respectively. Travis also holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from the Aveta Business Institute and is a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical, obtained from the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners in 2017.
