Amrantha Kalra

Amrantha Kalra has a diverse work experience in the mental health field. They have served as a Clinical Supervisor and Licensed Psychotherapist at The Soho Center for Mental Health Counseling since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Program Director and Mental Health Counselor at the Mental Health Association of NYC starting in 2017. They were also a Resident Clinician at The Soho Center and a Mental Health Therapist at the Mental Health Association during the same period. Amrantha also gained experience as a Clinical Counseling Intern at the Adolescent Skills Center - Manhattan Health Association in 2016 and as a Program Assistant at New York University - American Language Institute in the same year. Before pursuing a career in mental health, they worked at The Gateway School of Mumbai as a Lead Teacher, Assistant Teacher, and Shadow Teacher from 2013 to 2014. They have also been associated with Vibrant Emotional Health, where they held the positions of Program Director - YES Adolescent Skills Center from 2020 to 2022 and Mental Health Therapist from 2017 to 2020.

Amrantha Kalra has a strong educational background in the field of mental health counseling. From 2015 to 2017, they pursued their Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor from NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. Prior to that, Amrantha completed their Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University at Buffalo, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Their educational journey began in 2007 at St. Xavier's College, where they completed their High School degree in Psychology in 2009.
