John Kopanakis

John Kopanakis has a long and varied work experience. John began their career in 2006 as an Assistant Professor at the Technological Educational Institute of Crete, where they also served as Vice President, Associate Professor, and Head of the Dept. Commerce and Marketing. In the same year, they became the Director of the e-Business Intelligence Lab. In 2019, they joined Hellenic Mediterranean University as a Professor, and in 2020 they became the Director at the Institute of Economic Analysis, Entrepreneurship and Tourism. Finally, they have been the Co-Founder of Mentionlytics since 2015.

John Kopanakis received their Degree in Computer Science from the University of Crete, Department of Computer Science between 1994 and 1998. John then went on to pursue their MSc and PhD in Information Technology at The University of Manchester between 1998 and 2003.
