Jonathan Levine

Jonathan Levine, PhD, is a co-founder and CEO of Folia Materials, a sustainable paper platform company that leverages plant-based chemistry and nano-science to develop advanced materials as alternatives to plastic products. In addition to leading Folia Materials, Jonathan serves as co-founder and Board Chair of Folia Water Global, focusing on accessible water filtration solutions in low-income countries. Jonathan is an active speaker, having participated in numerous talks and panels across various global platforms, and holds advisory and mentorship roles in multiple organizations, including Sourceable, Cleantech Open, and Columbia University startup events. Jonathan earned a PhD in Earth and Environmental Engineering from Columbia University, complementing a robust academic background with a BA in History and Mathematics.
