Professor Martin Bean CBE serves as the Chief Executive Officer of The Bean Centre since July 2021 and is a co-author for Toolkit for Turbulence as of August 2023. Holding the position of Professor at UNSW since October 2022, Martin also mentors at MENTOR LIST and has been an Emeritus Professor of Digital Education at RMIT University since January 2015. Martin was the Vice Chancellor at FutureLearn from December 2012 to 2015 and at The Open University from August 2009 to December 2014. Prior experience includes serving as General Manager for Worldwide Education Products Group at Microsoft from 2005 to 2009. Martin holds a Bachelor of Education in Adult Education from the University of Technology Sydney.
