Thomas Tuttle has extensive work experience in various financial roles. Thomas started their career at Man-Gill Chemical Company in 1986 as an Accounting Manager and held positions such as Accounting Supervisor and General Accountant. Thomas successfully represented the company/owner in an IRS audit. In 1997, Thomas joined PPG Industries as a Financial Coordinator, later becoming an Accounting Supervisor and Manager of Financial Services. Thomas was responsible for coordinating accounting functions, supervising staff, and performing financial analysis. In 2009, they became the Chief Financial Officer at Lake Geauga Recovery Centers, Inc., where they provided operational and programmatic support and served as the chief financial spokesperson. Currently, Thomas is involved with Mentor Exempted Village Public Schools as a School Board Member, and from 2019, they have been serving as the School Board President.
Thomas Tuttle attended Lakeland Community College from 1967 to 1969, where they focused on Business Management and Accounting. Thomas then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from Ohio University, completing their studies from 1969 to 1972.

Mentor Public Schools is a suburban school district that serves more than 7,700 students enrolled in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from the City of Mentor and the surrounding communities of Mentor-on-the-Lake, Concord Township, and Kirtland Hills. Our district operates eight elementary schools, three middle schools, one high school and one state-of-the-art specialized school for students with autism, with just under 1,000 employees.
