Mentor the Young
Miglena Bandrova is an experienced marketing professional currently serving as a Mentor at Mentor the Young and as Media and Digital Manager at Kamenitza AD (Molson Coors Beverage Company) since January 2023. In this role, Miglena is responsible for planning and developing the ATL communication strategy for all Molson Coors brands, while managing relationships with media, digital, and creative agencies. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist at Philips, where responsibilities encompassed digital communication for multiple product categories, and as a Digital Account Manager at Media Direction OMD, focusing on digital positioning for various high-profile brands. Miglena began a career in finance at CIBANK JSC, handling cash transactions and banking operations, and gained initial marketing exposure as an intern at Media Group Bulgaria Holding. Miglena holds a Masterโs degree in Finance and Financial Management Services and a Bachelorโs degree in Marketing from the University of National and World Economy.
Mentor the Young
Mentor the Young is a free 3-month mentorship program that connects proactive students (mentees) aged 18 - 25 together with successful and inspiring professionals (mentors) with at least 5 years of experience. Applications are currently open. The program has 3 main areas: 1. ๐ ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ During the first week of the program each mentee, with the help of their mentor, sets 3 personal, professional or entrepreneurial goals. They work together within the remaining eleven weeks on achieving them. We support the mentorship process by (1) organizing the matchmaking process, (2) providing a comprehensive mentorship model and (3) establishing an accountability system with regular individual and group coordination meetings. 2. ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป We provide free training on topics such as entrepreneurship, personal branding, presentation skills, goal-setting, finance, sales, market research, and others. They are delivered by leading Bulgarian companies & startups such as Econt, Kaufland, Gtmhub, Payhawk, OfficeRnD, Gemseek, 356labs, Out2Bound, In Your Hands, and Sofia Tech Park. 3. ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ Besides the mentorship and educational motives behind Mentor the Young, we also work actively on building sustainable communities of motivated and like-minded mentees, mentors, partners, and friends of the program. We achieve that by hosting networking events and introducing a set of 6 challenges that provoke the participants to create relationships and exchange ideas with each other.
