Sandy Martins

Sandy Martins is the current Director of IT at MENTOR. Prior to this, Sandy was the IT Program Manager at Collette from April 2018 to May 2020. In this role, Sandy managed programs of Enterprise applications that enhanced user experience and improved internal processes. Sandy also maintained vendor budget and within 3 months, it resulted in total cost savings of $10K. Furthermore, Sandy developed and implemented a vendor program intake process, created detailed scope statements and project plans to help drive executive and stakeholder objectives, and implemented change management procedures to monitor and control scope, schedule, and cost throughout all phases of the project.

Sandy was also responsible for implementing companywide Atlassian products to over 400+ users over the course of two phases. Additionally, Sandy led the inception phase of a new IT Statement of Work which, involves gathering specific details and creating the structured statement for executive approval. Sandy was also a key team member involved in developing processes and supporting documentation for the organizations first-ever Project Management Office (PMO). Lastly, Sandy served as the primary liaison between the IT department and RI Tech Collective where they managed requests, communicated events and ensured a steady involvement.

In addition to their role at Collette, Sandy also managed and mentored the 2018 and 2019 IT department summer interns.

Sandy Martins holds a Master of Business Administration from Providence College and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Graphics & New Media from Johnson & Wales University. Sandy also holds a high school diploma in Computer Graphics from Brighton High School. Sandy is certified by the Scrum Alliance as a Scrum Master Certified (SMC).
