Michael Pires has a diverse work experience spanning various aviation companies. Michael started their career at American Eagle Airlines in 2000 and worked in various roles including Acting General Manager. Michael then worked at Business Express Airlines/American Eagle Airlines as a Station Agent/Lead Agent. After that, they joined American Eagle Airlines again and held positions such as Supervisor of Airport Services, General Manager, and Managing Director in different locations. In 2011, they joined Cape Air as a Station Manager and later became Regional Director. Currently, they work at Menzies Aviation as the Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance, where they oversee various programs and audits, manages relationships, and conducts extensive travel within the Americas region.
Michael Pires attended Yarmouth High School from 1990 to 1994. From 1994 to 1998, they studied Aeronautical Science at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. In 2006, they obtained the Air Transportation Oversight System 24-hour overview certification from the FAA. In 2015, they received the Aviation Lead Auditor certification from ARG/US.
