Kate S.

Kate S. has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Kate currently works as a Marketing Manager at Meow Wolf since 2021. Prior to this, they worked at The Theatre At Ace Hotel from 2016 to 2020, starting as a Ticketing and Marketing Manager and later being promoted to Assistant General Manager. In this role, they managed revenue and marketing operations for a historic 1600-seat theatre, working with clients such as HBO, Disney, Sony, and NBCUniversal. Kate also led the planning and execution of ticketing and promotional strategies for each event.

Before their time at The Theatre At Ace Hotel, Kate had roles at Sundance Institute from 2012 to 2016, where they led strategic planning and operations for the Sundance Industry Office and Alumni Relations. Kate managed industry partnerships and event planning for Sundance Industry Meetings during the Sundance Film Festival. Kate also served as the Meals and Events Coordinator for a three-month artist development program and Producing Summit, managing budgets and delivering cost savings.

Kate also gained experience at Outfest as an Assistant Programmer from 2015 to 2016. Kate started their career in the festival industry with Additional Festival Experience from 2009 to 2016 as Festival Staff. Kate also worked at Elsewhere Collaborative as an Interim Assistant Director in 2010, managing development and operations for an artist residency program and museum.

Additionally, Kate had internships at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in 2009 as a Public Programs Intern and at Museum of the Moving Image in 2008 as a Film Intern.

In 2007, they also briefly attended The University of Edinburgh, where they studied Economics, History, and Philosophy, although they did not receive a degree from this institution.
