Matthieu Dederichs

Matthieu Dederichs is a seasoned investor and venture partner with a focus on early-stage AI investments and incubation at Merantix since 2024. With extensive experience as an investor in various startups since 2013, Matthieu has worked closely with VC funds across the US and EU, specializing in sectors such as software, AI/ML, fintech, healthtech, and consumer technology. Prior to Merantix, Matthieu held the position of Tech Growth Investor at Permira from 2022 to 2024, leading efforts for Series B+ investments in Europe with a focus on AI/ML and fintech, while from 2015 to 2022, Matthieu served as Principal at GHO Capital, concentrating on growth-oriented investments in healthcare and life sciences. Earlier career roles include investment banking at J.P. Morgan, research in GPU-based computer vision at Imperial College London, and product/software development at Siemens and Galago. Matthieu holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and master's degrees in related fields from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and EPITA.
