Max Frenzel, Ph.D., currently serves as the Head of AI / LLM at Mercari, Inc., leading product and engineering teams to enhance user experiences and productivity through AI technologies. Additionally, Max is the Founder of Yudemon, focusing on human happiness and wellbeing through creative technology, and Co-Founder of Time Off, which promotes creativity and prevents burnout. With experience as Co-Founder and CTO at SoundLabs and Product Manager for Toyota's Woven City, Max has also held roles as an Advisor and Principal Researcher at Qosmo, R&D Lead at Bespoke Inc., and Research Scientist at Cogent Labs, specializing in AI applications across various domains. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Quantum Information Theory from Imperial College London, complemented by Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in related fields.
