Mohan Bhatkar

Mohan Bhatkar is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the technology sector, currently serving as the Head of Engineering for the Global Center of Excellence at Mercari, Inc. since April 2019. In this role, Mohan has been instrumental in establishing engineering teams in Bangalore, India, to support Mercari's vision of becoming a global tech company. Previous experience includes leading the Customer Reliability Platform at Mercari, where a focus on building a trusted marketplace was paramount, and various engineering roles at Rakuten from 2011 to 2019, where significant initiatives included the globalization of the Rakuten Travel system and the development of systems to enhance customer satisfaction. Mohan began a career in technology as an Application Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
