Veena Prakash

Veena Prakash is an accomplished tax professional with extensive experience in both corporate and consultancy environments. Currently serving as the Head of Tax at Mercedes-Benz Australia since September 2018, Veena previously held the position of Tax Director at Deloitte Australia, specializing in private tax, from April 2016 to August 2018. Earlier career roles include Senior Manager in various capacities at KPMG Australia from July 2008 to March 2016, and Business Advisory Consultant at RMIT University from June 2001 to June 2008. Initial experience was gained as a Management Accountant at SBA Foods Pty Ltd from January 2000 to June 2001. Veena holds a Master's Degree in Taxation from UNSW, has completed the Chartered Accountant Program from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia, and possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Colombo.
