Guang-Jie Ren, PhD, is a Senior Research Manager and Principal Research Scientist at IBM, where responsibilities include leading teams to develop compute environments for Large Language Models and Generative AI initiatives. With a track record of innovative contributions, Guang-Jie has spearheaded projects such as the IBM Enterprise Innovation Accelerator and analytics-driven iOS apps through the IBM-Apple partnership. Previous roles include Business Consultant at ABB and Domino Printing Sciences, and Project Manager at the University of Cambridge, where projects focused on service business development. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Engineering and Management from the University of Cambridge, as well as MSc and BSc degrees in Management Science and Engineering and Industrial Engineering from Tsinghua University, respectively.
