Chris Hardy

Lead Powertrain Engineer at Mercedes-AMG F1

Chris Hardy is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the automotive and motorsport sectors. Since January 2018, Chris has served as the Lead Powertrain Engineer at Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, having previously held the role of Senior Powertrain Design Engineer. Prior to this, Chris worked at Flybrid Automotive Limited as Principal Engineer and Senior Design Engineer from June 2014 to December 2017, and at Flybrid Systems LLP as Design Engineer. Earlier career phases included positions at Delphi Diesel Systems as Senior Nozzle Design Engineer and Design Engineer, GSI Westwind Air Bearings as Project Engineer, and SKF as Applications Engineer. Chris holds an MSc by Research in Porous Ceramics for Machine Tool Applications from Cranfield University and a BEng (Hons) in Automotive Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire.
