Luke Thorne

Luke Thorne is an experienced HPC Systems Engineer currently working with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team since August 2023. Prior to this role, Luke served as a Senior Linux System Administrator at Diamond Light Source from September 2014 to August 2023, and previously held positions as a Linux System Administrator and Infrastructure Support Executive at Swets Information Services. Additionally, Luke held the role of IT Software Analyst at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Services from March 2007 to April 2013, acquiring extensive experience in the full IT life cycle, including server administration, user and domain administration, and managing scheduled jobs and backups. Luke's career began as a Store Assistant at Sport's World from June 2005 to March 2007. Education was completed at Gosford Hill School from 2000 to 2007.
