Stefan Strahnz has extensive experience in the Formula One industry, currently serving as Chief Engineer - Cost and Commercial Programmes at Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team since January 2012. Previous roles within the same organization include Project Pioneer Programme Manager, Chief Engineer - Business Process Transformation, Engineering Group Manager, and Design Office Manager. Prior to joining Mercedes, Stefan held the position of Design Office Manager at Lotus Renault GP from November 2008 to December 2011 and served as Head of Reliability at Renault F1 from February 2006 to October 2008. Additional experience includes a tenure as Senior Tyre and Test Engineer at B.A.R. / Honda F1, Senior Dynamic Rig Engineer at Toyota F1, Liaison, Data Analysis & R&D Engineer at Prodrive, and Data Analysis & Race Engineer at Joest Racing. Stefan holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from FH Bingen, earned between 1990 and 1994.
