Tom Sutton

Tom Sutton is a Senior Race Software Engineer with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, where responsibilities include developing reactive, data-driven software applications and analyzing race car telemetry for performance optimization since June 2016. Prior to this role, Tom served in the Royal Marines as a Commando, specializing as an Information Manager for a UK Special Forces Unit, completing a deployment in Afghanistan, and reaching the rank of Lance Corporal. Earlier experience includes freelance web development, where Tom designed websites for private clients and created a successful social community platform, as well as a brief position with Universal Music Group focusing on web development for artists and promotional materials. Tom holds a degree in Automotive Engineering from Loughborough University.
