David Harkins, CFA, ABV

David Harkins, CFA, ABV has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2011 as a Delivery Driver for Harkins The Florist Inc. In 2014, they worked as a Senior Youth Program Cabin Counselor/Afternoon Programmer at Kanuga Conferences Inc. The following year, they served as a Summer Camp Counselor at Camp Rockmont for Boys. In 2015, they were an Academic Tutor at the University of the South. During their internship at Vulcan Materials Company in 2016, they worked as a Spring Intern. David then interned as a Summer Financial Analyst Intern at Mercer Capital in the same year. After that, they became a Financial Analyst at Mercer Capital, specializing in valuing public and private companies and financial institutions. In 2017, they joined Lyft as a Driver before returning to Mercer Capital as a Financial Analyst. During this time, they contributed to the company's weekly blog, Auto Dealer Valuation Insights, and their semiannual Auto Dealer Newsletter. David also worked on the Litigation Support Services team, focusing on Family Law matters. Their role also included contributing to the company's Energy blog and newsletters.

David Harkins, CFA, ABV, obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from The University of the South, where they also completed minors in Math and Honors Business. David attended the university from 2013 to 2017. Continuing their education, David obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute in August 2020, followed by the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV®) credential from the AICPA in September 2021.
