Lisa Anderl

City Councilmember at Mercer Island

Lisa Anderl has significant experience in both public service and the private sector. Since December 2018, Lisa has served as a City Councilmember for the City of Mercer Island, initially appointed to fill an unexpired term and later elected for the remainder. Prior to this role, Lisa worked for CenturyLink (formerly Qwest and US WEST) from October 1995 to July 2020 as an Assistant General Counsel, providing legal and regulatory advice and handling litigation and compliance issues. As a business owner, Lisa managed Morfey's Cake Shoppe from July 2008 to February 2014, specializing in custom cakes and baked goods. Earlier in Lisa's career, roles included serving as an Administrative Law Judge for the State of Washington from 1989 to 1995, and a Sales Associate at Nordstrom in 1987. Lisa holds a JD from Gonzaga University School of Law and a BA in Italian Studies from Gonzaga University.
