Edmund Driggs

Edmund Driggs serves as a City Councilmember for District 7 in Charlotte since December 2013. Driggs has a diverse background in public service and finance, including positions as a Board Member for Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont from January 2014 to January 2023 and on the President's Council at Central Piedmont Community College from July 2011 to July 2016. Additional significant roles include Lay Vice Chair of the Association of Public Television Stations (July 2010 - June 2016) and an Executive Committee Board Member for Communities in Schools Charlotte (July 2009 - June 2015). Driggs also served as Chairman and Treasurer for WTVI from July 2004 to June 2010, and as a Board Member for the Visiting Nurse Service of New York (October 1999 - July 2001). Previous professional experience includes Vice President at Goldman Sachs (July 1997 - March 2001) and Managing Director at Bankers Trust Company of New York (June 1980 - June 1997). Driggs holds an AB in Economics from Princeton University and studied at the University of Oxford from 1972 to 1974.
