Ryan Harriman

Ryan Harriman, EMPA, AICP, currently serves as the Planning Manager for the City of Mercer Island since July 2022. With extensive experience in urban planning, Ryan previously held the Planning Manager position at the City of Covington and served as Community Development Director for the City of Normandy Park. Earlier roles include Senior Planner for the City of Sammamish and Associate Planner for the City of Bonney Lake, where significant contributions were made to various development projects and community initiatives. Ryan's career began as a Land Use Planner II/Shoreline Administrator for Grays Harbor County and included a strategic role as Coalitions Manager for the Freedom Foundation. Ryan's academic background includes an Executive Master's in Public Administration from the University of Washington and multiple degrees from Central Washington University, showcasing a strong foundation in public policy and political science.
